Matrimonia
A romantic postcard, this album contains Axel's first bonafide erotic song. The disc portrays the players in a royal wedding to be held in a kingdom that is both ancient and modern. As always, psychedelic rock abounds, colored here and there with classical and jazz.

Childhood's End
When did childhood end? Does it all end at once, or do different parts of it end at different times? These songs don't answer those questions, but they do look at some fading memories as well as some present day troubled thoughts. A concept album if ever there was--a single night's dreams. Our hero, a descendant of Kafka's famous bug-man, is on a psychedelic whirlwind tour of his psyche. Not a very restful night. 11 tracks, half rockers and half just plain nightmares.

Variations On A Drone
While creating a rendition of Amazing Grace for a movie soundtrack, I devised a bagpipe drone which I liked so well that I decided to use it for a song of my own. This became a piece called “The Sound”. Amazing Grace itself, which isn’t my favorite piece of music by a long shot, managed to creep in as well, in a kind of underhand way. The new song turned out so well, though, that I thought I would modify that drone somewhat and use it for another song. This led to the idea of doing a whole set of songs using variations on this drone sound, with each song having some little bit of Amazing Grace lurking somewhere in it as well. Before long I had eight songs, and a new album.

Long ago in a City of Salt, there lived 4 or 5 musicians, I mean magicians, who conjured songs up from the depths of Psyche and spun them off into the pre-E Void. Like asteroids and comets, some of these swung around to our side of the Sun again, and fell into the antenna array here at Axel Mundi Music. We made contact with the Muses, and through digital culture they released these songs to new incarnation.
